West Brom boss Hodgson keen to end rift with Fulham chairman Al Fayed

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson says there's no problem from his end with Fulham chairman Mohamed Al Fayed.

Hodgson heaping praise on Al-Fayed, insisting Fulham are the template for success for the Baggies.

He said: "Clubs like ourselves look at them and how they established themselves and how we can be like that.

"That stability of the last four or five years is what we need to get but they have done it gradually.

"Don't forget, when he took over Fulham they were just about to go out of business and go into the Conference.

"His time at the club has not only taken them into the Premier League but kept them there for 10 years.

"He is one of the unsung heroes. People don't talk about his achievements all the time but maybe they should."

Hodgson admitted it will be an "emotional return" for him after such a successful spell in West London.

He said: "I spent a wonderful two-and-a-half years there. We will have to be at our very best if we are going to get something out of it."
