West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson was happy to give George Thorne a chance in defeat to Arsenal.

Hodgson has high hopes for the midfield tyro.

He said: "It was also nice to give young George Thorne ten to 15 minutes - he's deserved his chance with his performances in the reserve team.

"It was nice to see, as I've always thought, that he is capable of going out and playing at this level."
