West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is convinced George Thorne will soon earn an England U21 call.
Thorne, 18, has signed two contracts in a matter of months with the Baggies.
"He's going to be a very good player," Hodgson told the WBA website..
"The best thing I can say about having him and Graham (Dorrans) was that you couldn't tell one of them hadn't played for a while and the other was a young boy.
"You just think you've got two good central midfield players and that's the best compliment I can pay them.
"George is young, he wants to learn and I think we will see him get better and better.
"I spoke to Stuart Pearce the other day and I know he was at Bournemouth the other night to watch Craig Dawson in particular.
"But I think he would've been casting an eye over George Thorne as well.
"If he thought George merited a call-up, I would be the first to applaud it."
