West Brom boss Hodgson delighted with Allan's first week

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is delighted with the first week of training from Scott Allan.

Allan signed from Dundee United last week.

"We've got the young boy Scott Allan, who is doing very well," he told wba.co.uk.

"He's enthusiastic and very interesting.

"His opening week with us has been an interesting week - he's hit the ground running.

"We should, I think, be prepared to give some of our own players a chance before we start panicking and start signing what are often other teams' surplus players."
