West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson was delighted for Simon Cox over his equaliser at Tottenham yesterday.
Cox produced a wonder strike for a first-ever Barclays Premier League goal to remember.
"I'm really pleased for him because he's such a nice guy," Hodgson told the WBA website.
"I'm not surprised he scored because I see him in training and he is a goalscorer.
"Maybe it's his first in the Premier League because he's not had many opportunities. He hasn't had many under me and the two games he played up at Sunderland and at home against Liverpool he did extremely well.
"Arguably, he is probably thinking he was unlucky to lose his place to Morrison when we played Chelsea last week.
"That was a tactical masterstroke that didn't come off!"
