West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is banking on more to come from Peter Odemwingie.

The Nigeria striker is currently going through a six-match barren spell in front of goal in the Barclays Premier League.

"He's got the ability, no-one has ever doubted that," Hodgson told the WBA website. "But as you say, this year we haven't seen the best of him.

"Perhaps we've got it still to come, hopefully. There are still a lot of games left and he's fit now, which is the most important thing.

"Maybe he just needs a bit of time to get back into a playing rhythm."
