West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is confident winning the race for Dundee United midfielder Scott Allan.
Hodgson is convinced a move to the Premiership with the Baggies is the best option for his career.
He said: "We're trying to show Scott that if he comes here he'll get the best possible treatment at this club.
"West Brom can offer the best possible coaching, he'll be joining a good club and one that's in the top half of the Premiership - and all of those things are very important. Scott is a very talented young player that we're keen to sign.
"We think he'll be a very good player not only for the next few months, but also for the future."
