West Brom boss has no problems with Newcastle, Tottenham target Berahino

Tony Pulis insists all is well between he and West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino.

There have been reported problems with the 22-year-old striker at The Hawthorns this season which has seen him struggle for regular game time under the Welsh manager.

But after Berahino scored in the 2-2 FA Cup third-round draw with Bristol City on Saturday, he celebrated by racing over to Pulis to shake his hand which proves to the Baggies boss that everything is fine.

"Has it ever been anything but well? I have no problems with Saido, I have said that all along. At times, he is misguided in the way he has acted around the club," said Pulis.

"He has never held a grudge against me. I have certainly got tremendous respect for him. I do care for him and worry about him at times, because he is still a young lad and he can be very immature but that is the process of growing up.

"Saido took a turn for the worst, we have to deal with it, have to work with him and make sure we get him through it."

Despite Pulis' positivity, Berahino continues to be linked with a possible move away from West Brom this month with Newcastle United and Stoke City joining Tottenham in pursuit of the talented attacker.
