West Bromwich Albion boss Roberto di Matteo was happy Graham Dorrans struck in their friendly against VVV Venlo.
Dorrans played just behind lone strikers Marcus Haber and Luke Moore respectively in each half and Di Matteo was delighted to see the Scot, who signed a new long-term contract last week, open his pre-season account.
"Dozza was our top scorer last season and it's good that he's keeping up his habit of scoring goals," Di Matteo told the WBA website.
"But it's always a team effort and the build-up to his goal was very good.
"Having a midfielder who scores regularly is certainly a bonus. There aren't too many around who can do that."
