West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke has refused to shut down talk of a return to Chelsea. Questioned about the possible return of his former boss Jose Mourinho to English football, the 49-year-old refused to rule out a return to the role of 'right-hand man' in the future.
But he told the Express & Star: "At the moment, this job is the best one for me. I've waited a long time for it. I've served a big apprenticeship to be here and be the guy who makes the final decisions.
"I'm really comfortable and happy in this job.
"But I need to work and I won't stay out of the game just because I want to be my own man going forward.
"Opportunities could present themselves - after all, nobody can predict the future.
"I enjoyed being an assistant at some of the top clubs in the country and maybe it could happen again in the future - maybe even abroad.
"That would be good for my education as well."
