West Brom boss Clarke: I don't want to lose Olsson

New West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke hopes to keep hold of Jonas Olsson.

Olsson is set to enter talks with Clarke with Sweden's Euros campaign over.

Clarke told the Wolverhampton Express And Star: "I didn't want to intrude too much because Jonas was out there representing his country and it was a big tournament for him.

"Unfortunately it hasn't worked out for Sweden but I wanted to leave Jonas just to concentrate on his country.

"Hopefully between now and the report back for training date, I'll get the chance to meet him and have a chat with him.

"Ideally I want to keep all the contracted players and bring in another two or three that can help them.

"That would be the ideal scenario, although it doesn't always work out like that. Jonas is a key player for the team and the club and I'll do what I can to keep him here."
