West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke has hopes of landing Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair.
Clarke, speaking after watching new signing Nicolas Anelka score in a 2-0 win against Bologna on Saturday, revealed talks had begun.
"With Sinclair, we have made an inquiry to Manchester City and there are discussions going on.
"If we get one player this week it will help, if we get two I'll be pleased and if we get three I'll be delighted. I'm anxious but I'm not ready to panic."
