West Brom boss Tony Mowbray is set to offer £3 million for Bolton Wanderers defender Abdoulaye Meite.

Hull have already failed with a move to take the giant centre-half but the Baggies are the latest club to register their interest.

Galatasaray are also in the hunt but West Brom are desperate to strengthen a defence that conceded 55 goals last season.
