West Brom battling to convince Wolfsburg striker Helmes

West Bromwich Albion face a battle to land Wolfsburg striker Patrick Helmes.

The Daily Mail says the Germany international is reluctant to leave is homeland right now as his wife is pregnant and does not want the upheaval of moving to another country.

The former Sunderland and Everton target is available on a loan with view to a permanent £5million transfer but he is holding talks with Borussia Moenchengladbach while Mainz have also shown interest but can't afford him.
