West Bromwich Albion have announced David Gomez as a first-team coach until the end of the season. He is reunited with Pepe Mel, who he worked under at Real Betis. Mel was originally put off managing the Baggies when it emerged he would not be able to bring his own staff to the club, but Gomez will join assistant head coach Keith Downing and goalkeeping coach Dean Kiely in the back-room staff.
