West Bromwich Albion and Angers SCO are attempting to finalise a deal for Romain Thomas.

Sport Witness is reporting that the Baggies and Angers are in discussions regarding the 28-year-old defender.

Albion are hoping to land Thomas on loan with an option to buy, whereas the French Ligue 1 club would prefer a straight-up permanent sale.

Angers are also seeking an apt replacement which appears difficult at this late stage of the winter transfer window.
