West Brom are moving ahead of Stoke City in the battle for Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina.
The Potters made a failed bid for Lemina earlier this week.
However, Foot Mercato says the Baggies are now locked in talks with Juve over a fee for the midfielder. Real Betis are also keen.
Juve signed Lemina outright from Marseille in June for €9.5 million and will seek to sell for €20 million.
For his part, Lemina is ready to leave, having made only seven Serie A starts last season.
