West Bromwich Albion midfielder Paul Scharner is a big fan of Sunderland boss Steve Bruce - though that wasn't always the case.
Six years ago, Scharner lost his cool when Bruce's Birmingham played a so-called friendly in Norway.
Scharner, 31, said: "I remember my first contact with Steve very clearly.
"I was playing for Brann Bergen and one of the Birmingham players broke our man's leg in a rough tackle.
"I went crazy. I went up to Steve, stuck up my middle finger and said 'f*** off'.
"But he later tried to sign me for Birmingham - and Steve's a really nice guy."
