West Brom accept Bolton offer for Robinson

West Brom have accepted an offer from Bolton Wanderers for Paul Robinson.

Wanderers gaffer Gary Megson has been chasing the 30-year-old defender since the end of last season, when Albion dropped out of the Premier League.

Robinson immediately stated his intention to leave The Hawthorns and remain in England's top tier, but Bolton and the Baggies have been locked in a tug of war over the transfer fee for him.

Albion chairman Jeremy Peace put a £1million price tag on Robinson's head, and rejected offers of £500,000 and £750,000 from Megson.

But it appears the Bolton boss will finally get his reunion, having managed the former Watford man during his time in charge of the Baggies, after the two clubs finally agreed on an undisclosed fee.
