West Brom 1-3 Blackburn: Kalinic strikes twice before seeing red for Rovers

Nikola Kalinic's goalscoring presence helped Blackburn Rovers to a much-needed 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Tuesday.

The Croatian netted twice to give his side the lead on two occasions before being sent off two minutes after the Rovers went 3-1 ahead.

GOAL The visiting side kicked of proceedings in just the third minute through Kalinic, who ran onto a El-Hadji Diouf ball, before slotting neatly past Baggies keeper Scott Carson from the left side of the penalty area.

GOAL But West Brom soon restored parity through Jerome Thomas who turned in a perfect Somen Tchoyi cross from the right in the 17th minute.

West Brom were dominating the possession and shots on goal statistics categories but it went against them on the scoreboard as Kalinic again put the Rovers ahead.

GOAL This time he nodded home after skipper Ryan Nelsen headed a Diouf corner across goal to make it 2-1 in the 53rd minute.

GOAL Nine minutes later, Blackburn scored again through Mame Biram Diouf who was on the end of another beautiful delivery from his namesake to give Steve Kean his first win as manager.

Blackburn moved to ninth by snapping a three-game winless streak whilst West Brom fell to 14th with a third-straight defeat.
