Liverpool are lining up a shock move for Fulham attacker Clint Dempsey. Tom Werner as given a broad hint American hitman Clint Dempsey is a Liverpool target.

The Fulham striker, 29, has long been tipped as being on Reds' hitlist.

And Werner, a front-man for Kop owners Fenway Sports, admitted: "Any team would be lucky to have Clint Dempsey in their squad."
