Eljero Elia wants to tie down a permanent deal with Southampton by helping the club into a Champions League position.
The Dutch winger, 28, is on loan from German club Werder Bremen but is vying for a regular starting spot under Ronald Koeman as the Saints look to clinch a top-four finish.
"We believe we can make the top four," said Elia.
"We have to look from game to game, keep faith in ourselves and train very hard and then I hope we will have a lot of success.
"Personally I want to be important for the team and the club. I am renting a house for six months and after that I dream Southampton will sign me permanently."
