Werder Bremen drop interest in Celtic's Ki

German club Werder Bremen have decided not to pursue Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-yueng.

The 23-year old South Korean international was being heavily linked with a summer move to the Bundesliga outfit but general manager Klaus Allofs has confirmed that Bremen have now dropped their interest.

"We are definitely aware of Ki Sung-yueng, he certainly is a very good player," Allofs told kicker-Sportmagazin.

"However, at this point in time, he is a non-issue and is pretty much off the agenda for our club."

Ki is still reportedly being tracked by Bremen's rivals Bayer Leverkusen whilst Premier League outfit QPR are also believed to be keen.
