Werder Bremen general manager Thomas Eichin has played down interest in Inter Milan defender Luca Caldirola.

Eichin refused to confirm or deny the reports.

"We are still looking out for new players to strengthen our first-team squad," he said. "I am not prepared to make any comment on this [the Luca Caldirola rumours]. Still I do not want to deny this, either."
