Werder Bremen chief Klaus Allofs has expressed interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Diego.
Diego enjoyed his best form in Europe at Werder.
"We had a great time with Diego, and he always behaved very professionally," Allofs told Bild.
"A transfer seems difficult at the moment, but we will definitely look into it if the opportunity comes up."
