Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger doesn't want to keep Cesc Fabregas at the club against his will. Wenger has begged his star player to stay one more year at Arsenal and leave next summer if the club has still failed to fulfil its potential.
But Fabregas has made it clear that he has played his last game for the club after five years without a trophy, says The Sun.
Some Arsenal board members are ready to force him to honour his £80,000-a-week contract and believe the club should reject all offers from Barca.
But Wenger thinks there is no benefit to be gained from keeping an unsettled player and is privately resigned to losing Fabregas.
Now it is a matter of gaining the maximum price for their biggest asset.
