Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits his job future is out of his hands. Wenger admits he was unable to assure them how long he would stay in charge as his current contract expires in June 2014.
He said: "I could not give them that assurance because that decision does not depend on me.
"The assurance I gave them was the club has faith in them and, at the moment, I decide the technical policy of the club."
When asked if he would stay on beyond 2014, Wenger added: "At the moment, I envisage to do well this season.
"I want to do well for the idea of football I have for as long as I am here. After that, we will see."
