Wenger praises Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech performance in North London Derby

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised goalkeeper Petr Cech's heroic performance during the North London derby.

Petr Cech was one of the few Arsenal players who could come away with any credit from their 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, and it would be fair to state that the Gunners would have lost the game with an embarrassing scoreline if it were not for the veteran goalkeeper.

Manager Arsene Wenger was left pleased with Cech's performance during the encounter and stated that the 34-year-old custodian is still at the top of his game.

Wenger told Arsenal's official website: "He had an outstanding performance. He was one of the players who turned up today and it shows that he still has it at the top level."
