Arsenal are being linked with Lazio star Hernanes. The Brazil international was linked with Arsenal in the Rome press yesterday as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger seeks a long-term replacement for Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas.
Hernanes only moved to Lazio last summer and enjoyed an impressive first season in Europe.
However, those close to the former Sao Paulo star have played down the prospect of him moving to London as he wouldn't qualify for a work permit with him currently not part of Mano Menezes' Brazil squad.
However, Wenger could still argue Hernanes' case as an exceptional talent, particularly given his form and status in Italy.
Despite the claims of some close to the midfielder, this transfer case is expected to rumble on.
