Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says Francis Coquelin can have a long-term future with the club.

Coquelin impressed in victory at West Ham United on Sunday. The Frenchman was recalled from a loan with Charlton Athletic.

Wenger said this morning: "I believe he has potential. Hopefully he will make a career here"

The Frenchman also spoke of his transfer plans: "There's a need there. If the right opportunity comes we will do it.

"(Lukas) Podolski? I want him to stay. Inter?

"That is a joke. Inter Milan is not serious."
