Wenger: No Arsenal deal for Henry

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has ruled out the possibility of signing Thierry Henry to a short-term deal.

The New York Red Bulls striker is training with his former club during the Major League Soccer off-season but fellow Frenchman Wenger says there will be no chance of the ex-Barcelona ace coming back to North London in a playing capacity.

"I have not thought about that at all. At the moment we have a big squad and anyway, that problem cannot examined before the end of December," said Wenger.

"At the moment we have 26 outfield players so we have a massive squad.

"Thierry's future is in the [United] States. He is going back in February. Until then we will just help him to practise and keep fit."
