A busy period in Europe and the league means Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger fully expects to make use of his first team squad in the coming weeks. The Frenchman told Arsenal TV Online: "We have to a little bit. It is at the moment rotation without being detrimental to the balance of the team.

"We play again on Wednesday and then on Saturday morning against Manchester United, so we will have to rotate."

Wenger will take into account a number of factors when he comes to make his selections.

"First of all you look at the positions in the team where people have to put more mental or physical effort in," he said.

"Then you look at the capacity of the players to repeat, the players who are injury prone more than others.

"There are a lot of things coming in to your mind when you make these kind of decisions. How much has been given in the last game, all that."
