Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger loved the manner of his victory over Southampton.
The Frenchman stopped short of saying his existing crop were on a similar level than his previous sides, but admits all the ingredients for a sustained title assault are in the Arsenal melting pot.
"Our resoluteness was the most pleasing thing against Southampton," said Wenger.
"They disrupted us in midfield. In terms of stopping us playing, they're the toughest opponent we've had this season.
"Our technical qualities, I know about. But today we were tested by being challenged for every single ball and we responded quite well."
