Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is being over-ruled by his board over the price to sell Robin van Persie.
The People says Wenger will be forced to concede defeat by the Arsenal hierarchy over the sale of Van Persie.
Wenger is at loggerheads with the directors after telling them he doesn't want the Dutch striker to leave for less than £30million.
Arsenal's board, however, see that as unrealistic and are prepared to accept £20m - a huge sum for a player who will be 29 next month and is in the last year of his contract.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus have all lodged bids for the Dutchman.
