Arsene Wenger is certain Arsenal can turn being dumped out of three cup competitions in a fortnight into an incentive to make a concerted effort for the Premier League title. The Frenchman knows his players' ability to recover will determine their fate for the remainder of the campaign.
"My biggest task is to lift the players for what lies ahead," he said.
"We have a massive task now but the challenge we are aiming for now is so exciting.
"We could find it is an advantage to be recovered physically and mentally for the games ahead, but only if we can deal with the problem mentally.
"I believe we can do it and I don't feel like the season is slipping away.
"We are used to being questioned. We have to show we are strong enough to deal with it."
