Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is determined to leave the club in the best shape possible for his successor.
Wenger comes off contract in June and is yet to discuss new terms.
Speaking in an interview with former Arsenal star Ian Wright, Wenger told the club's official website: "It will be my pride to see somebody come in and do better.
"Or at least he's in a position to do better!
"It's important, the legacy, because for me a club is as well about identity, and values.
"The values here are carried by the manager because I stay here for a long time, and I hope that these values – that are respected around the world – will continue because it's based on respect, humility, togetherness and moving forward."
