Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has held clear-the-air talks with his players. The Sun says the Emirates boss arranged the get-together in a bid to boost morale after three successive League defeats.

Wenger told his players they must not be worried by criticism from fans or TV pundits.

The crowd was furious at Wenger's decision to replace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with Andrey Arshavin in the 2-1 home defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.

Wenger told his players he had faith in his entire squad and they were capable of going on a decent run, starting with Sunday's home FA Cup fourth-round clash against Aston Villa.
