Wenger has message for Arsenal in wake of Ludogorets demolition…

Arsene Wenger has urged calm from Arsenal following their stunning Champions League win on Wednesday night.

The Gunners hammered Bulgarian side Ludogorets Razgrad 6-0 at the Emirates Stadium to put themselves in a commanding position in Group A, alongside PSG.

Arsenal have now won seven matches on the trot, and are unbeaten in their last 11, but Wenger is eager for this playing group to keep a lid firmly on the natural excitement that has been created on the red side of North London.

"Our confidence is stronger with every win but we have to keep the vigilance as well, and the urgency to bring that into the next game," Wenger told BT Sport.

"Let's not be too quick on the verdict.

"We have a strong squad and a strong spirit, but you have to take care of it and keep your feet on the ground.

"The only way to win something big is to focus on the next one and work on humility."

Mesut Ozil scored a second-half hat-trick while Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were also on target as the Gunners took their scoring tally to 23 in their last seven.
