Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will give the besieged Emmanuel Eboue a chance to prove himself in Wednesday night's Champions League match against FC Porto.
The Ivorian defender was jeered and heckled by Arsenal fans as he came from the field in the Gunners 1-0 victory over Wigan on Saturday but Wenger believes he should be given a chance to silence his critics.
"Emmanuel Eboue will start tomorrow," the Arsenal boss said ahead of the Porto clash.
"He is in completely the right frame of mind.
"After the game everyone is entitled to have an opinion and we accept that, but no matter what happens you still want your fans to be behind the team during the 90 minutes," he added.
"Of course he was disappointed for a few days, but football is magic because you always have the next game to show how good you are."
