"Wenger gets more respect than me," claims Man Utd's Mourinho

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho reckons he and Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger are the Premier League managers with the "best record" but he does not get the same respect as the Gunners boss.

"My record against any other manager is not important," Mourinho said.

"What you get, you do it as a team. In the Premier League - just Premier League - tomorrow is a match between two managers with the best record. Six or seven titles.

"Should we be respected even in periods when our results are not that best? I think Mr Wenger gets that. I don't think I do even though my last Premier League title was 18 months ago. No respect."

As to his impressive record against Arsene Wenger: "It is not important. I don't play against managers," Mourinho added.

"It is my team against another team, some records are better than others. Tomorrow is an isolated event."
