Arsenal have been assured by manager Arsene Wenger he will sign his new contract.
The Sunday Mirror says there has been mounting speculation about Wenger's future because of his failure to pen a deal, which has been on offer since the end of last year.
Wenger told the board that he had given his word and insisted: "I never go back on it."
He also has the total support of American millionaire Stan Kroenke, the biggest shareholder at the Emirates.
The delay in sealing his new deal has been noted at Paris Saint-Germain and their Qatari owners know Wenger well.
They used him as an adviser when they took over and were very impressed with him. If Wenger doesn't renew his Arsenal contract, PSG look certain to move in.
