Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to test Manchester United's resolve for striker Wayne Rooney.

The Daily Star Sunday says Rooney, 27, has been on Wenger's radar since the end of last season and he is now ready to splash out.

Wenger would happily wipe out his entire £80m summer to land Rooney and Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

United are prepared to sell Rooney for £25 million.
