Wenger confirms Wilshere to start for Arsenal at Schalke Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere will start in tomorrow night's Champions League clash with Schalke.
The 20-year old midfielder has only recently returned from a long injury layoff with Wenger wary of burning him out too early but he has confirmed that there will be a start in the Veltins-Arena meeting with the German club despite him being sent off against Manchester United on Saturday.
"I think I will play him tomorrow," Wenger said.
"Then we have a block of three games and maybe the fact that he gets a period of recovering will be just right for him. He gets better in every game.
"I think the sending off was very harsh, having watched it again. Sometimes, I believe that slow motion doesn't help the judgment. He went for the ball.
"Even (Sir Alex) Ferguson after the game thought he didn't deserve to be sent off. He's usually a good referee!"
