Although he admitted to a mediocre performance on Wednesday night, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is delighted with the current position of the club.
The Gunners scraped through over Partizan Belgrade for the win they needed to qualify for the second stage of the Champions League and after the result, find themselves in a very good situation as highlighted by their French boss.
"Overall we are in a strong potion in the league, we are qualified in the Champions League, we are in the semi-final of the Carling and we start the FA Cup in January. There are plenty of exciting challenges in front of us, but there is room for improvement and I am confident we will," he said.
On the 3-1 victory over Partizan, Wenger knew that it wasn't a top showing but was content with the result.
"Tonight was certainly not our best, but when we play now in the last 16 hopefully we have done well in the Premier League and the Carling Cup and we can have a high level of confidence because that will be needed," he added.
