Wenger: Chelsea unlikely to sell Mata to Arsenal

Arsene Wenger admits he would love Juan Mata at Arsenal but highly doubts his club would be able to secure him from Chelsea.

The Spanish midfielder is being continually linked with a Stamford Bridge departure following the recent signing of Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala and although Wenger holds an admiration for the player, he suggests that the Blues are unlikely to sell to a rival.

"I like him," said Wenger after Arsenal's 2-0 Champions League win over Fenerbahce on Tuesday night.

"I watched the game (Man Utd v Chelsea) last night and I've heard, like you, Juan Mata could be on the market.

"There is anyway in England a reluctance to sell to each other."
