Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says they can win the Premiership after victory over Sunderland.

Nicklas Bendtner scored the opener at the Emirates Stadium with a first-half tap-in from two yards and Cesc Fabregas finished off Sunderland in injury time, sidefooting home from the penalty spot after he had been brought down by Fraizer Campbell.

Asked whether they were back in the title mix, Wenger replied: "We are. But the only thing we can do is win our games and hope the others drop points.

"The top two will drop points because they play against each other. Everton have beaten Chelsea and Manchester United and there are plenty of teams where you can drop points.

"We have two fights, one is to get away as far as possible from the teams in fourth, fifth and sixth and the other is to get as close as possible to the top."
