Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini have been tasked with the job of holding down Arsenal's central midfield on Wednesday night.
The Gunners meet Olympiakos in their final Champions League group stage match and manager Arsene Wenger has backed the Welshman and the Frenchman to do the job in the absence of injured duo Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla.
"Midfield is important in games like this," said Wenger.
"Flamini and Ramsey will have to play an important part in a game of this stature but I'm confident that they can and will."
Arsenal require a two-goal win or to score three times and win by a goal if they are to progress to the Round of 16.
