Wenger: Arsenal winger Walcott coming to terms with injury shock

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger stated Theo Walcott is handling as well as can be expected his devastating injury setback that will rule him out of the World Cup. The 24 year old England international is to have surgery after suffering cruciate knee ligament damage against Tottenham last weekend, with the Gunners stating he will be out for "at least six months".

"Theo is handling it as well as you can when you have had such a shock because he's mentally strong, he's very balanced as a person and he can put it into perspective," Wenger told the club's website.

"We know that he will have the dedication and the serious attitude to come back as strong as ever."
