Wenger on Arsenal future: I'll consider things at end of season

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is having to explain comments made in a French interview over his future with the club.

Wenger has revealed this could be his last season at Arsenal.

When asked whether he would still be in charge next season, Wenger, 62, said: "We'll look at things at the end of this one."

Wenger's views appeared in the respected L'Equipe magazine. He also revealed: "What is hard is the feeling something is finishing. For me, we're now talking short term. But whether it's me or someone else, it changes nothing. My successor needs foundations on which he can be successful."

After victory at Norwich City, Wenger explained: "What I said was that if I fell below the expectations of the club then I would consider my future. But that doesn't mean we have to finish top four. It is more about the players improving as a group and making progress.

"I am totally committed to this, the club of my life and that will remain the same."
