Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has no regrets over his sale of Ashley Cole to Chelsea.

While always rating Cole, 26, as a player, Wenger says he was more than happy with the £18million deal which saw skipper William Gallas switch from Stamford Bridge.

Wenger said: "Ashley wanted to leave. The only way we could act was to get someone else in as compensation and we are happy with what we have got."
